What is dBird?

dBird is an online crowd-sourced data collection tool that provides a way for the public to report incidents of dead and injured birds, helping to contextualize and guide research and advocacy efforts that aim to reduce human-caused hazards to birds.

Report a dead or injured bird in under 2 minutes.

How to Use dBird

1. Go to dbird.org

2. Enter birds location to the best of your abilities

3. Fill out as much information about the bird as possible

4. Enter time you found bird, bird status (dead or injured), and cause of death

5. Add any additional info: pictures or general notes and submit!

As a volunteer walking our routes you might see more than one bird and want to submit this information on your computer rather than your phone. So, all of our volunteers will be provided with a clipboard to write down any notes or observations to look back at later or even give to any of our team members to put in for you.
